Gladwell published in Poland

Two excellent books were released in Poland this year. Somehow both were not properly orchestrated so I got the news by accident.
The first was absolutely fantastic ''Fast-Food Nation'' written by Eric Schlosser. In september famous Malcom Gladwell's ''Tipping Point'' hit shop shelves. As far as I know one publisher bought copyrights for ''Blink'' - Gladwell's second book.

About time on both counts.... Although not sure if Fast Food Nation quite fits the Polish reality, but at least it shows the "American Way".

Any idea if Malcolm is heading that way to promote the book? :)

You'll be disappointed like I was. - We don't have any plans to arrange the author's visit in Poland - press officer of Bertelsmann Media (Swiat Ksiazki) told. Polish book market is very small and publishers are happy enough, if they can sell about 3000-5000 copies of the title... As you can see, inviting writers from overseas usually doesn't make sense here.

Blink is great news! This book is awesome. I think GW would make a splash by publishing Gladwell's stories from the new yorker instead of that boring stuff that now regularly appears in Saturday edition.
